Fructus Sakaba, in Utsubo-Hommachi, Nishi Ward, Osaka City, is a beer pub where you can enjoy craft beer with your meal. In its March 16 listing, the shop introduced five beers, ranging from light, spring-appropriate options to more substantial pours with real staying power.
The first tap worth noting that day is Nara Brewing’s "BEER AFTER SAUNA" (Fruit Gose 4.0%). With its lower ABV, it is an easy choice to pair with the start of a meal. Next, BELCHING BEAVER BREWERY’s "Peanut Butter Milk Stout" (Milk Stout 5.3%) is the kind of beer that appeals to those looking for richness. The lineup, which lets you choose both lightness and depth on the same day, shows the pub’s breadth.
Also on offer are the collaboration beers "YOU WAKU MOSAIC" (BEPPU BREWERY × umbrella RiB × Ladybirds Bottle Shop Tsukiji / Single Session IPA 4.5%) and "UNDERWATER" (Nara Brewing × Yucho Shuzo / Sake Yeast Beer 11%). The latter, at 11%, is one to savor slowly. In addition, BEPPU BREWERY’s "Dr.Geyser" (Spiced Sour Ale 3.5%) is part of the lineup, making for a day where you can enjoy a wide range of aromas, acidity, and body.
The post also highlights food items such as "stir-fried chicken neck and wood ear mushrooms with spices," as well as the day’s curry, "spinach chicken curry." Together with the shop’s relaxed weekday atmosphere, it is easy to imagine everything from dropping in for a single drink to settling in for a longer session with food. It is a spot worth checking out when you want to find a craft beer that matches your mood in the Utsubo Park area.
