BEER BAR Bitter is a beer pub in Tsukudo-cho, Shinjuku, Tokyo. Its official site says the bar focuses on Belgian beer while also serving beers from Japan, Germany, and Ireland, along with three rotating draft beers and seasonal specials. On July 3, the shop announced a 16:00 opening and shared a five-tap lineup.

The lineup moves from Belgian witbier, Vedett Extra White, to Passific Brewing’s lager Passific Lager and schwarzbier Wald, plus Collective Arts Brewing’s Ransack the Universe and Sonnen Hill Brewing’s Quench. With wheat beer, lager, West Coast IPA, and Schwarz all in one list, the selection is broad enough to suit different moods and food pairings.

The food list is equally beer-friendly. The post includes mentaiko achar, pork and clam Portuguese-style, fruit tomato with sudachi, izakaya-style potato salad, cottage pie, and fritz. The official site also highlights fritz fried in 100% lard and a rotating daily menu, reinforcing the pub’s role as a place to eat and drink at an unhurried pace.
