Thanking Visitors at Iida Station
On May 17, Nagano Brewery posted on Instagram to thank the visitors who came to the "Yoi Fes" being held in front of Iida Station. The venue is I-Park, the multipurpose plaza in front of Iida Station, and the two-day event on May 16 and 17 is being held as one of the largest liquor festivals in southern Shinshu, bringing together craft beer, sake, wine, and cider from Nagano Prefecture.
At this event, 16 companies from Nagano Prefecture participated as alcohol booths, and 8 stores participated as food booths. Nagano Brewery was also one of the exhibitors, making its presence known in the local craft beer scene.
Nagano Brewery is based in Ojoji, Nagano City, and promotes a "circular BREWERY" model that operates its own farm and brewery as one integrated operation. Its beer-making is characterized by making use of local resources, such as using hops and fruit trees grown on its own farm as ingredients and reusing spent grain after brewing as fertilizer. Its regular lineup includes pale ale, pilsner, IPA, and stout, and draft beer can also be enjoyed in the taproom. The encounter in Iida offered a chance to savor this brewery's beer together with the story of its origins.
