Want a Beer, a beer pub in Motoimaizumi, Utsunomiya, will be open on May 25 from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (L.O. 9:30 p.m.). Reservations are accepted through the LINE link in its profile, and the shop says replies to Instagram DMs may be delayed.

The tap list for the day features a total of six beers. With an IPA, Hazy, Irish Red, Sour, Belgian White, and Kölsch, the lineup offers a wide range of drinking styles and makes it easy to choose according to your mood. On draft will be Ushitora Brewery’s “Adult Can Beer Draft Ver.”, a golden West Coast style IPA that puts its crispness front and center. Next is “Tohoku 6 Hop / Be easy Brewing,” a Hazy IPA made with NZ hops. “Michi Sugara / Karuizawa Q” is an Irish Red with biscuit-like malt character layered with notes of caramel and dried fruit.

The highlights are Want a Beer’s two original 5th-anniversary beers. “Fresh!!! / Romantic Village x Want a Beer” is a Fruits Sour Ale made with juice from five hand-squeezed citrus fruits in generous amounts. “SPECIALS / Romantic Village x Want a Beer” is a Belgian White made with amanatsu, kiyomi orange, hassaku, mikan, and lemon peel, with coriander spice layered over the citrus aroma. Also on tap is “Tomarigi / Karuizawa Q,” a Kölsch that suits those looking for a light, easy-drinking beer.

On the food side, the menu includes seasonal dishes such as cold pasta with Hokkaido sea urchin, sauteed asparagus with a fried egg, caprese with strawberries and prosciutto, and spring rolls with oysters and tomato. It makes for a lineup that fits a local Motoimaizumi spot, where beer comparisons and food can be enjoyed together.
