Rikyu, which operates Hoping Hill Brewery, will hold an event to commemorate the release of its new product, "GALACTIC COMET," at the event venue at Michi-no-Eki Kakuda starting at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

In addition to the completion unveiling ceremony, a tasting session limited to 100 cups will be held that day. Rikyu also plans to serve Japanese sweets at the venue, and the event is being presented as a chance to taste the new beer before its official debut.

In addition, Rikyu Kakuda in Kakuda, Miyagi, will begin selling "GALACTIC COMET" on draft from kegs. The recommendation to enjoy it together with gyutan is another move that reflects the brewery's focus on food pairing, which has long been characteristic of Hoping Hill Brewery.

Hoping Hill Brewery is known as the brewery operated by Rikyu, the gyutan charcoal-grill restaurant brand, and has continued making beers designed to complement food. This rollout, which combines a local event venue with the company’s own store, is also an easy-to-understand way to bring a new release to the local area. Anyone eager to try the new beer first should check out Michi-no-Eki Kakuda or Rikyu Kakuda on May 30.
