Event Overview

Beer Pub Ishii, located on Yomise-dori shopping street in Sendagi, Bunkyo Ward, will appear at the 'Wakuwaku Big Thank-You Festival' on May 24. Beer Pub Ishii is a small beer pub that opened in April 2013, about a six-minute walk from Tokyo Metro Sendagi Station. Situated on the border between Yanaka and Sendagi, it is a place where you can stop in while taking in the atmosphere of the shopping street.

Beers on Offer

According to the shop's basic information, Beer Pub Ishii has four taps, three of which change daily. The permanent beer is Kirin Heartland, while the others pour distinctive Japanese craft beers. As kegs run dry, the lineup switches to the next label, so the same bar shows a different face every time you visit. For beer lovers, there's the pleasure of checking which kegs are open today.

The Shop's Appeal

The food menu is broad, including house-made pickles, fish and chips, pork rillettes, sausages, and taco rice. With everything from light snacks to hearty meals, it works both for dropping in for just one drink between events and for settling in and having a meal. As a place where the bustle of Yomise-dori and a craft-beer-focused concept naturally fit together, it seems well suited to local events too. Note that the interior has limited seating and operates on a cash-only, pay-as-you-go basis. While casual, it continues to run like a neighborhood pub.
