Nami No Oto Brewing will set up a stall at the “Iyasaka” autumn festival held along the approach to Ikuta Shrine in Kobe. The festival runs for three days, but the brewery will participate only on Sunday, September 20, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

For the event, Nami No Oto Brewing created a collaboration beer named “Iyasaka.” Inspired by the autumn festival, the beer was brewed with sake yeast, bringing together elements of craft beer and Japanese sake production. Visitors can enjoy the limited collaboration beer alongside food from festival vendors and live music.

Based in Minamiawaji, Nami No Oto Brewing focuses on beers that make use of the nature and agricultural products of Awaji Island. Its lineup includes a white beer brewed with Naruto oranges from Awaji Island and a Brut Hazy IPA made with koji from a local sake brewery. The brewery’s brewer has experience in both sake and craft beer production and aims to create drinks that bring out the character of local ingredients.

This collaboration connects a traditional local festival in Kobe with a brewery rooted in Awaji Island’s food and brewing culture. “Iyasaka” will offer festivalgoers an opportunity to explore how sake yeast shapes the aroma and flavor of a craft beer.
