Restaurant BSB in Bifuka has announced that Mori no Shizuku from Bifuka Shirakaba Brewery is now available on tap. In the brewery’s July 3 Instagram post, the venue explained that the beer had previously been offered only in bottles, making this tap connection a new way to drink it on site.

Mori no Shizuku is brewed with 100% birch sap, which makes it one of the brewery’s signature beers. The post also notes that only a small amount of keg beer is available, so it is worth ordering sooner rather than later. Bottled beer will still be sold, which means guests can enjoy it in the restaurant and also take some home.

Restaurant BSB is a brewpub set inside a renovated 90-year-old red brick warehouse and attached to what is described as Japan’s northernmost craft brewery. The official website also highlights local lamb dishes alongside the brewery’s beers, making it a place where beer and food are designed to be enjoyed together.

For beer fans, the news is straightforward but appealing: a bottle-only birch-sap beer has finally reached the tap handle. It is a good reason to visit the brewpub and taste a beer closely tied to the character of Bifuka itself.
