Niiza Craft, a brewery based in Niiza City, Saitama, has announced that it will take part in the 11th Ooedo Niiza Festival. The festival will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, around Furusato Niiza-kan, with food stalls, stage performances, and Awa Odori planned throughout the day. Festival hours are scheduled for 11:00 to 19:00.

Niiza Craft was founded with the goal of supporting its hometown through locally made beer. According to the brewery’s official website, the brand was established in July 2021, and brewing now takes place at its Niiza facility, completed in May 2023. The brewery has also begun growing hops beside the facility and hopes to eventually produce beer using ingredients grown entirely in Niiza.

The beers available at the festival will depend on the day’s sales lineup, but Niiza Craft’s core range includes four beers. NAKAJI’S WEIZEN uses 50% wheat malt and offers a soft, rounded profile with banana-like fruitiness. NAKAJI’S HELLES is a crisp, easy-drinking lager-style beer with gentle malt sweetness, making it a natural choice for a first pour.

For drinkers looking for more hop character, NAKAJI’S IPA delivers a clear finish, citrus aroma, and balanced bitterness. NAKAJI’S PALE ALE, meanwhile, combines a restrained bitterness with a fragrant profile from four American aroma hops.

Some Niiza Craft beers also use locally grown carrot leaves as an adjunct. The leaves, which are often trimmed and discarded before shipment, are repurposed like herbs, helping reduce food waste while adding a distinctly local element to the beer.

The festival offers a chance to enjoy Niiza’s local beer in the middle of a lively community celebration. Visitors should check the official festival updates before traveling, as traffic restrictions are scheduled around the venue.
