BREW CLASSIC in Kanazawa has unveiled its first brewery collaboration with Be Easy Brewing from Aomori. The new West Coast IPA, Kadanchime, is built around a clear body, layered hop character, and a crisp finish.
BREW CLASSIC in Ishikawa has announced its first brewery collaboration with Be Easy Brewing from Aomori. The beer is "Kadanchime w/ Be Easy Brewing", a West Coast IPA at 6.5% ABV.
The grist includes Pilsner, Wheat Malt, and Maris Otter, while the hop bill features Mosaic, Simcoe, Centennial, Comet, Motueka, and Columbus. The beer uses Einstein yeast. According to BREW CLASSIC, the beer finishes with a clear body and layered fruit notes reminiscent of grapefruit, lime, and passion fruit, alongside a soft dank character. The brewery says it used its largest hop charge to date, aiming for a beer that stays light, clean, and easy to drink despite the intensity.
BREW CLASSIC describes itself as a craft brewery near Kanazawa Port. Its direct taproom, Taproom BREW CLASSIC, is located at 1-3-3 Katamachi, Kanazawa City and is open 13:00-21:00, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. The venue serves draft beer and offers bottled/canned beer to go, with single-glass and single-can orders available, plus a selection of snacks.
For hop-forward beer fans, this is a clear, collaborative West Coast IPA worth noting, especially because it pairs a local taproom setting with a first-time brewery partnership.
