Beer House Hobbit (Kawaramachi, Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture) announced a pairing of six draft beers and food in its June 1 post. Centered on craft beer, it is the kind of beer-pub offering where you can enjoy both drinks and meals together, with a lineup that draws your attention to a glass that suits the increasingly hot season.

The highlight is the "seasonal vegetable jelly dish," which brings together tomato, nasu eggplant, cucumber with a fresh green aroma, and myoga ginger in a Japanese-style dashi-based jelly. It has a cool, light feel and works well as a starter for your first drink. Other items on the menu include freshly fried new potato chips, domestic beef rump steak, spring rolls with new potatoes and beef loin, spring rolls with young corn, assorted tempura, and spicy Taiwanese-style fried chicken, all dishes that pair naturally with beer.

The draft beers for the day were Yatsugatake Brewery's "Shirakaba Beat," Kuni no Cho Beer’s "Kijo Gold," Free Spirits Brewing’s "Peach Hazy IPA," Nat Brew’s "Burp Mutant," Hansharo Beer’s "Full Bloom DIPA," and Hirakata Beer’s "Session Citra White."

Among them, Nat Brew’s "Burp Mutant" was introduced in the post as an IPA with tropical aroma, firm bitterness, malt richness, and a crisp finish. With options ranging from pale styles to DIPA, the shop's strength is that you can choose depending on your mood, from a beer focused on aroma to one with more heft. It also includes local Hirakata Beer, making regional side-by-side tasting another appealing feature.
