Kumazawa Brewing, the brewery behind MOKICHI TRATTORIA, will hold Oktoberfest 2026 from October 10 through 12 at its Kagawa site in Chigasaki. The 2026 edition marks the 30th anniversary of Shonan Beer, with a lineup of 25 beers expected to include both established favorites and limited releases.
The festival runs from 11:00 to 20:00 on October 10 and 11, and from 11:00 to 19:00 on October 12. Food and beer will be served through a ticket system. Advance tickets include drink-and-food vouchers and a commemorative glass, while the number of tickets required varies by item.
From pilsner to hazy IPA
MOKICHI TRATTORIA normally serves 10 to 12 Shonan Beer varieties throughout the year. The range includes Pilsner, a crisp golden lager; Alt, a fruity amber ale; and Schwarz, a dark beer with roasted malt notes, gentle bitterness, and malt sweetness.
Other regular offerings include Golden Ale, with lemon and citrus-like aromas; American-Style IPA, built around expressive citrus character from American hops; and Hazy IPA, offering juicy flavors reminiscent of orange and mango. The festival’s 25-beer selection should also give visitors opportunities to compare beers not usually available during regular service.
A brewery setting with wood-fired food
MOKICHI TRATTORIA occupies a 450-year-old traditional house relocated to the brewery grounds, surrounded by greenery and woodland. Its wood-fired pizzas and house-made fresh pasta provide natural pairings for the beer selection. During the festival, the entire Kagawa site—including Trattoria, Tensei, MOKICHI Cafe, and the gardens—will serve as the event area.
Regular restaurant service will be suspended during the festival, and advance tickets are required. The venue is located at 7-10-7 Kagawa, Chigasaki, Kanagawa.
