Beer Cellar Sapporo Honten has highlighted the fifth release of its annual Kaede IPA series. This version was commissioned from Yohei Kawamura of Hobo Brewing and brewed at Streetlight Brewing, landing at 3.5% ABV. The label was drawn by Mugi Maeda, with kingfisher and iwana char adding movement around Kaede.

The beer is designed as a low-ABV IPA that stays easy to drink without losing hop character or substance. It aims to offer a gentle buzz while still giving enough body for a proper pint. The theme is parent-child love, so it is positioned as a beer that can also be given as a gift between generations.

The pub sits on Minami 1-jo Nishi 12-chome in Chuo-ku, Sapporo, inside the AMS Building on the first floor. For beer fans, it is the kind of neighborhood beer pub where story-driven guest beers like this become part of the draw.
