Saien Micro Brewery takes reservations for a summer hors d'oeuvre set through Aug. 31
Saien Micro Brewery with Kitchen in Morioka has announced a limited-time takeout hors d'oeuvre set made with ingredients from Iwate. The set can be ordered on its own or with draft beer, and sales run through Aug. 31.
Saien Micro Brewery with Kitchen in Morioka's Saien district has announced a takeout hors d'oeuvre set for Obon gatherings. The venue is a brewpub produced by Baeren Brewery, and its appeal lies in pairing house-brewed beer with food. The limited-time item, "Baeren to Tanoshimu Natsu no Hors d'oeuvre", uses ingredients from Iwate and can be ordered on its own or as a set with draft beer.
Prices
- Hors d'oeuvre: ¥4,200 (tax included)
- Hors d'oeuvre + 1 draft beer: ¥5,000
- Hors d'oeuvre + 3 draft beers: ¥6,500
The 3-bottle set includes freshly packed draft beer filled at the shop, and the brewery says it works well for gatherings of four to five people. The lineup includes roast of Morioka kuroki pork, sea bream and Zenmaru shiitake mushroom bacon roll, sautéed Iwate chicken thigh with ratatouille, Polestar Farm sausage, pickles and prosciutto made with Baeren beer, and marinated shrimp with summer vegetables and basil. The set is clearly built around local ingredients and dishes that pair naturally with beer.
Reservations are requested at least five days in advance, and sales run through August 31. Demand may be concentrated during Obon, from August 13 to 16, so early booking is recommended if the date is already fixed. Contact: 019-606-0171. More details are available on the official site and the original Instagram post.
