A new lager at NEIGHBOR

NEIGHBOR, a craft beer pub in Nogata, Nakano, has tapped Uryu Style Lager from Moon & Sun Brewing. It is the brewery’s first appearance at NEIGHBOR and has an ABV of 5%.

The rice Helles lager is brewed with Uryu rice, a branded rice from Uryu in Hokkaido. With restrained hop bitterness, it offers gentle malt sweetness, moderate body, a smooth and light palate, and a clean finish. Its easy-drinking profile makes it a natural choice for a first pour or for pairing with food.

Eight beers on tap

The tap list features a broad range of styles:

- Moon & Sun Brewing — Uryu Style Lager (5%)
- Himitsu Beer — Soba Ale (6.5%)
- Zakkoku Beer — Weizen (5.5%)
- VERTERE × NEIGHBOR — Pyracantha, NZ Pale Ale (5.5%)
- CRAFTROCK BREWING — Tropical Splash, Margarita Gose (4.5%)
- Kyoto Brewing — Coffee Brown Ale (5%)
- FILL BREWING — 55KINGS, Golden Ale (5%)
- Revision — Single Track Theory, West Coast IPA (6.5%)

From a crisp rice lager and a soba ale to a wheat beer, New Zealand pale ale, tart gose, coffee brown ale, golden ale, and West Coast IPA, the selection offers plenty of contrast for a tasting flight or a longer session.

Pair it with a limited burger

NEIGHBOR is also serving a Korean Style Pork Burger from October 13 through 16. Other recommended dishes include mushroom carpaccio and bacon tomato carbonara.

The pub is located on the first floor of J-ARC Nogata at 6-30-26 Nogata, Nakano, Tokyo. On October 14, it opens at 5 p.m. For beer fans visiting Nogata, the new lager and the limited burger make a straightforward food-and-beer pairing to look for.
