OGA BREWING COMPANY’s "Good-Bye 2026 (keg)" is a seasonal release tied to Mitaka, the city where Osamu Dazai lived with his family and wrote many of his works. The series is brewed to align with Dazai’s memorial day, Outo-ki, and this year marks its fourth edition.

The 2026 beer is a fruit ale built on Heidelberg and wheat malts, with Saaz hops. It clocks in at 4.0% ABV, 20 IBU, and 3 SRM. The adjunct is apple juice from Toki apples grown in Goshogawara, Aomori, Dazai’s hometown, giving the beer a bright, refreshing finish. It is offered in a 10-liter keg, a format aimed at bars and restaurants.

The product page frames the beer with a literary mood, inviting drinkers to imagine the continuation of an unfinished final work. It also includes a short-short story titled "Saiken" ("See You Again"), reinforcing OGA’s habit of pairing beer with narrative.

OGA BREWING is based in a residential part of Mitaka. On its official site, the brewery says it aims to make beers that surprise first-time craft beer drinkers and turn them into fans. With Dazai’s former home site within walking distance, the beer also fits naturally into a literary walk around the neighborhood.
