Hinomoto Brewing & Beer Stand in Komagome, Tokyo, will be open from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Monday, May 4 (a public holiday). Inside, 10 taps centered on the brewery's own beers will be lined up, offering a wide range of styles from DIPA and Red IPA to sour ale.
The brewpub “Hinomoto Brewing & Beer Stand,” located in Honkomagome, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, will be open from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Monday, May 4 (a public holiday). In a post, the shop said its Wednesday closing day remains unchanged during the Golden Week period, and that it will open the taproom in line with weekend and holiday business hours.
There will be 10 beers on tap that day. The highlight is a new release, `Sledgehammer DIPA` / Double IPA (8%), a beer that suggests a powerful hop presence. Other offerings include `Red IPA v.2` / American Red IPA (7%), `ライ麦畑でつかまえて#3` / American Belgo Style Ale (DH Belgian Rye Pale Ale, 6.4%), and `黒鳶Double` / Belgian Stout (8.5%), giving the lineup a broad spread in both color and style.
For those who want something easy-drinking, `空SIPL` / Session IPL (4.7%) and `駒込EXビター` / ESB (4.8%) are straightforward choices. Also on offer are `白ひつじのエール` / Belgian Hazy IPA (7.3%), a collaboration with Sanriku Beer, `OK.Hazy.` / Dry Hopped Wheat Ale (Hopfen weisse, 6.3%), `甚三紅(じんざもみ)サワーエール` / Dry Hopped Sour Ale with Herbs and Raspberry Pomegranate (5.5%), and `Motueka XPA` / Extra Pale Ale (6.3%), creating a lineup you can choose from according to your mood.
The shop basically operates as a “beer-only” venue, with food limited mainly to kaki-pea snacks and dagashi. Rather than a place to eat a full meal, it is the kind of taproom where you keep the glasses coming in Komagome's local atmosphere. For anyone looking to drop in and drink craft beer casually on a Golden Week day, it sounds like an easy place to stop by.
