Tango Kingdom Brewery, based in Kyotango in Kyoto Prefecture, announced a new collaboration with the Kobe Steelers on Instagram. According to the post, the well-received “player-can” concept returns in a 2026 edition, now presented through three selected beers and limited labels that reflect the team’s energy and passion.

The brewery has long framed TANGO KINGDOM Beer as part of its regional storytelling. In its official materials, the partnership with the Kobe Steelers is tied to promoting the wider Kansai area, including sales at home-game venues and other fan-facing activations. In that sense, this is not just a novelty release, but part of an ongoing connection between a local brewery in northern Kyoto and a professional rugby club.

The lineup centers on three beers: Meister, Smoke, and Amber Ale. Meister is described as crisp and smooth, with Kyoto Tango rice in the recipe; Smoke emphasizes a robust body and smoky aroma; and Amber Ale is presented as a fuller beer with firm bitterness and a pronounced aroma. For beer fans, the appeal lies not only in the artwork, but also in the chance to compare three distinct house styles through a rugby lens.
