Yame Brewery (Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture) announced in an Instagram post on March 29 that sales of "Plum Saison" are imminent. The post said the brewery would again release its “craft beer made with plums,” following last year’s positive reception, and that it used sweet and juicy plums from Yame. It also said the beer was finished with careful attention to fermentation temperature so that the plum character comes through more clearly.

Yame Brewery is a brewery attached to Bengara Mura in Yame City, Fukuoka Prefecture, and has been producing and selling craft beer since 1998. On its official website, it says it aims to make flavorful beers blended with local specialties, and its lineup is characterized by products made with Yame tea and local fruit. It has previously made pilsners and IPAs using Yame tea, "Grape IPA" made with Yame-grown grapes, and seasonal fruit beers.

In this post, the brewery said it will share product information again later, and detailed specifications and sales format have not yet been announced. Still, as a new saison-style release that makes the most of plums, the brewery’s ongoing direction of "turning local ingredients into beer" is once again on display. Keep an eye out for follow-up news on this bottle that combines Yame fruit with the brewery’s brewing expertise.
