Episode 155 – The Oaked Episode
We picked up Tommyknocker’s Oaked Butt Head Bock, partly because we had never seen a beer described as “oaked”. Tuned out an “oaked” beer is similar to its bourbon barrel cousin, which is not a bad thing at all.

Joys of Technology
Ok so hopefully some of you have noticed the silence on the wire here at brewcast.net. We have head a backlog of software headaches that have greatly delayed the posts in the last month.
So as an update. Shows 151-155 have been recorded and will be posted in order on their originally scheduled dates within the next week. We should also see quicker response to new episodes on post coming shortly.
Thank you for your patience and also thank you to those who have shown their concern for our well being. We are doing fine and looking forward to the GREAT NEBRASKA BEER FEST!
Great Nebraska Beer Fest
The Great Nebraska Beer Fest is coming up in a few short weeks. It promises to be one of the best Nebraska based beer events in recent history.
It is being put together by the Nebraska Craft Brewers themselves and they know how to make great beer.
Our group will be attending and we hope you will too. Tickets will run $25 in advance or $30 the day of the fest.
Episode 154 – Apple Lambic, Who Knew?
Our guest and possible future panelist Kendra brought us Lindemans Pomme Lambic. A sour apple drink, despite being a fruit beer, is quite good.

Episode 152 – American Hefe
Up to this point our panel has only identified two American made hefeweizens that deserve the name. Both come from Nebraska and while we are sure there are more, they appear to be scarce. So our friend Brian M. brought with him Sierra Nevada‘s Hefewezien claiming it passed. We also enjoyed a Mocha Porter from Rogue Brewing Company out of Oregon.
