Flossmoor Station – Pullman Brown Ale
Beer: Pullman Brown Ale
Brewery: Flossmoor Station Brewing Co. in Chicago Illinois
Style: Brown Ale
ABV: 6%
Reviewed: 26-May-09 on Episode 142
Appearance: Deep black in color with a tan head.
Aroma: Chocolate, molasses and alcohol were prominent in the aroma.
Taste: Sweet malt, dark chocolate, coffee and alcohol were in the flavor.
Mouthfeel: medium body, creamy with alcoholic warmth.
Aftertaste: residual sweetness and lingering alcoholic warmth.
Overall: A well made dark beer. We don’t know if it’s a brown ale, but it is tastey.
Notes: To our panel it came across more like a Imperial Stout. The alcohol we tasted and smelled would have been very agressive for a 6% beer. If by some chance of fate we recieved stout in a brown ale bottle the grades for this beer would be even higher.

After reading Richard’s notes, I’m pretty sure this wasn’t the brown unless the recipe has dramatically changes.
